HAIL and FAREWELL

It turns out last night (2/7) was my last show.  For anyone who has listened, or troubled themselves to read this Blog, I thought a brief note would be in order.

I have enjoyed immensely programming this show for the past (more or less) eight years.  I have personally discovered and learned much about this most American of art forms (I mean Jazz, not radio).  I have also appreciated the support of a fantastic General Manager, Joe Swanson.  My thanks to Joe are without bounds.

The press of my professional life (yes, I have a job) and my volunteer work in my community have now exceeded the limits of my available free time; I find that I must put aside this wonderful hobby of mine...at least for now.

Mr. Swanson has been kind enough to leave the door open for me to return to WMUH.  I do hope that time will come.

Heartfelt thanks to everyone who has shared a love of Jazz with me.
